Our Transition to Net Zero

The transition to net zero for a global Single Malt Whisky, produced in a 226-year-old island-based distillery, is challenging but achievable and will demand collaboration across all of our teams and operations. We are in the early stages of this journey and will invest, test and innovate to meet our near-term goal of reducing all scope emissions by 50% by 2030, and our long-term goal to be net zero by 2045.

Driven by a Body of Initiatives

Our teams are involved in a range of initiatives that will combine to advance our journey to net zero. Among many initiatives currently underway, our carbon reduction team has begun a significant capital investment heat recovery project to remove coke from our operations by 2024.
