Over the summer, to support the launch of our new duty free collection, we invited you to enter our photography competition by submitting images that reflected the themes of people, place and whisky. We were absolutely blown away by the response and deciding on the winners was a truly challenging task… but we did it!
We’ve awarded our first prize – a superb Polaroid camera – to Assaf Spiegler who submitted this magnificent image of Highland Park, proudly silhouetted against the golden glow of the setting sun. Assaf’s photograph was taken from the terrace of his home near Lugano in Switzerland and entered in the ‘Whisky’ category.
Second prize – a Highland Park backpack – goes to Mhairi Jarvie who entered the ‘People’ category with her cheerful portrait of her Dad, Glyn Edwards, enjoying a dram of Highland Park on the Scrabster to Stromness ferry.
Finally, our third prize – a Lion & Serpent Notebook – will be winging its way to David Williamson for his dramatic shot of the view across to Hoy and Graemsay in Orkney, which he entered in the ‘Place’ category.
We had over 400 stunning images sent to us from all over the world. You can view a selection of our favourites here, which although they didn’t win a prize, still won a place in our hearts. Thank you!
