Wild Food with Tastemade

This autumn, we partnered with global food and travel network, Tastemade, to create two episodes for their new Wild Food series. Shot on location here in Orkney, each episode showcases the natural bounty and seasonal treasures of our island home. With foraged seasonal ingredients, an outdoor fire and a little help from Highland Park 12 Year Old… the results are out of this world!

WHEN THE FIRE COOK MET THE FORAGER

Grilling, smoking and eating food that’s found naturally in the great outdoors is a passion for both author, teacher and live fire cook, Genevieve Taylor, and for expert local forager, Andrew Appleby, who tries to ‘eat wild’ every day. Working together, they created two wildly flavoursome dishes from simply sourced seasonal ingredients and a generous helping of the magic of Orkney.
