TERMS & CONDITIONS OF PURCHASE
Our Terms & Conditions of Purchase reflect your consumer rights (and our respect for them) when you make a purchase from the Highland Park online shop.
WHO WE ARE
Highland Park is the supplier of the goods you order online and our address is Highland Park, The Edrington Group, 2500 Great Western Road, Glasgow G15 6RW.
The Highland Park online shop is only available to private individuals and you must be over the legal drinking age set by your country of residence to buy from us. All orders placed with us are subject to stock availability.
ORDERS & DELIVERY
When you place an order with our online shop, we’ll email confirmation of your order within one working day, along with a reference number that you should hold on to in case you need to contact us. We’ll normally fulfill your order within five working days.
For orders of up to six standard 700ml bottles, we charge £6.95 for postage to mainland UK, £12.95 to the Scottish islands and £13.95 to Northern Ireland. For other items, such as barware and clothing, the postage cost is based on the weight of the package and the delivery destination. We calculate this automatically during checkout and it includes the cost of protective packaging to ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition. We’ll need your signature when your order is delivered.
We reserve the right to make alterations, including special discounts, to our packaging and postage rates. At present, we’re not able to deliver whisky ordered from our online shop to addresses outside the UK, although we can deliver other items anywhere in the world.
We hope that you’ll be able to navigate our online shop easily – but if you have any issues or queries, please contact us by email at [email protected] You can also use this address if you have any complaints about our online shop or any of our products – but we hope you won’t need to do that. We’ll aim to respond to queries or complaints as quickly as possible and certainly within five working days.
You can pay for the goods you’re ordering with MasterCard and Visa credit or debit cards. Your card details will be transmitted via the web to a secure server in an encrypted format.
While we reserve the right to alter the price of any of the goods we offer online at any time, and without prior notice, the total price quoted when we acknowledge your order won’t change – that price includes VAT, packaging and postage to the address you give us on your order form.
YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We’d like to email you with details of new releases and special offers from our online shop. If you join our Inner Circle (www.highlandparkwhisky.com/innercircle) we’ll store your details (including your name and address) in accordance with the current data protection legislation. But you can remove these details from our mailing list at any time by emailing [email protected]
Your debit or credit card details will NOT be stored after we process your order. And your personal details will only be held by Highland Park so that we can fulfill your order. We only ever make your details available to third parties where they are acting on our behalf to process orders or if we are required by law to disclose your details.
When you see the OPEN PADLOCK icon, that means that the information you’re viewing, along with other pages from our online shop, is being served from a normal web server. When you hit ‘Buy’ or ‘View Basket’, your basket will appear. This is not secure as it contains no sensitive information at that point.
When you hit ‘Checkout’ you’ll be taken to a secure form and asked to fill in your name, address and debit or credit card details. This page is held on a secure server protected by SSL and an Authentication Certificate and so you’ll see a CLOSED PADLOCK icon. When you hit ‘Complete Order’, your order details will be forwarded to us in an encrypted format and, when we receive this, we’ll decrypt and process your order and dispatch your goods once your card payment has cleared.
When you receive your order, if your goods are not what you ordered or are damaged in any way, please contact us at [email protected] – remember to include your order number as we need this to process your return. We’ll arrange to have your order returned to us (at our own cost of course) and we’ll either refund you or replace your goods, according to your instructions. Your statutory rights are not affected.
If, when you receive your order, you change your mind and want to return all or part of it to us for any reason, you may do so within seven working days of the date of delivery. In this case, it will be your responsibility to pay for the return postage and packaging (and the packaging must be suitably protective!). We’ll refund the amount equivalent to the goods you’re returning, including the original postage charge, within 30 days.
