Stromness Lifeboat Anniversary Bottling

To mark the bravery and dedicated service given to our island home by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, we released exactly 1,867 bottles of the Stromness Lifeboat Anniversary Bottling in January 2018. And in honour of the 55.9-foot long Severn-Class lifeboat stationed here, we bottled this special edition at 55.9% ABV. Created from a high proportion of first-fill sherry seasoned European and American oak casks with the addition of a small number of ex-bourbon casks, it’s bold and commanding in flavour, with an intense balance of lemon peel, fresh tobacco leaves, toasted oak, vanilla, and hints of fresh ginger. For every bottle sold, we made a donation to local RNLI activities, here in Orkney.
