A fresh look for our award-winning whisky.
At Highland Park, we’ve been making whisky at our Kirkwall distillery for 225 years and counting—long enough that you might consider us part of the landscape. Our new packaging pays tribute to the unique environment and creativity of our island home, taking cues from its dynamic landscapes, invigorating weather and future-facing approach to whisky and to life.
Seeing the light
There’s something special about the light in Orkney. Thanks to our Northern latitude, we enjoy long days and awe-inspiring sunsets in summer, while in the winter there’s often a chance to spot the northern lights. That’s why our new packaging offers a lighter take on whisky, with a refreshed colour scheme and glimmering foil accents.
Heather forever
We’re pretty open about our love for the heather that grows across islands of Orkney. After all, it’s the heather, infused in the peat we use to smoke our malts, that gives our whisky its distinctive, subtly smoky flavour. We’re paying further homage to this not-so-secret ingredient by including flecks of heather on our labels.
A redesigned bottle
Because all our whiskies get 100% of their colour from the cask, each has its own unique hue and character. So you can see that all the better, we’ve redesigned our signature bottle for our Classic Range with a more clean and minimal look.
The flavour of our casks
We’re always careful to use casks of only the finest quality. After all, our casks account for 60% of the flavour, and 100% of the colour of our whisky. The subtle wood grain on our new outer packaging highlights our dedication to sherry-seasoned oak casks, and our appreciation for the flavours they impart on our whisky.
