You’ll spend 90 minutes with our local host in our tasting room at the Highland Park Kirkwall Store, it’s right in the heart of Kirkwall.

With this experience you can expect an in-depth exploration of whisky production. From a short film capturing behind the scenes at the distillery, our local host will take you through each element of the process with sensory prompts along the way, including a guided tasting of a selection of our prestige and limited edition whiskies.

You’ll learn about the wood we use to make our casks and we’ll explain the impact the wood has on our flavour.

We’ll tell you all about Orkney, after all, it’s why our whisky tastes like nothing else. We work hand-in-hand with nature to forge our traditions. Our unique environment creates a different kind of whisky.

Learn about Hobbister Moor; hills of breathtaking heather moorland, that infuse the peat below with an intensely floral character. This unique peat gives Highland Park its signature sweet and subtle smoky character.

With this experience, you’ll taste and learn all about our distinctive flavour accompanied by a knowledgeable local host.
