This serve enhances the soft red fruity notes of TWISTED TATTOO 16 Year Old and balances fresh berries with traditional aperitif spirits to mimic the mouth feel of a full-bodied red wine. The sweet vermouth brings sweet vanilla notes – also found in the whisky – to create a beautifully rounded serve that highlights the flavours of the Rioja wine casks.
INGREDIENTS (one serve)
40ml Highland Park TWISTED TATTOO 16 Year Old
10ml Raspberry ‘oleo’ (add together equal measures of fresh raspberry and sugar in a jug, mash until the sugar dissolves, leave overnight and strain)
10ml Sweet vermouth
1. Add all the ingredients into a mixing glass and stir
2. Strain into a chilled glass and add a block of ice and a long twist of zesty orange peel.
