The famous Viking explorer, Leif Eriksson was the inspiration behind this bottling. As the first ‘European’ known to have set foot in America, he inspired our decision to create a whisky exclusively matured in sherry seasoned American oak casks. The resulting unique flavour profile reveals spicy orange blossom, honey, ripe mango, and melon, with just a hint of aromatic smoke, and was originally launched in 2011 in Duty-Free.
We’ve been crafting our award-winning single malt scotch whisky at the Highland Park Distillery in Kirkwall, Orkney, since 1798. Age, experience and respect for tradition may define our whisky, but it’s Orkney that sets it apart. Something magic happens here and the result is the wild harmony of flavours found in our whisky.
