It’s named in honour of the special quality of light we get in Orkney, thanks to our remote northern latitude—and its flavour is just as ethereal and uplifting.

The flavour
Like a dessert trolley in a glass. The nose is rich and indulgent, with Scottish tablet mingling with ginger and cinnamon. The palate adds gentle gingery spice, caramel and a waft of floral smoke, leading to a mellow, fruity glow of a finish.
The craft
To strike the perfect balance of sweetness and spice, we’ve crafted this whisky from a careful combination of hand-selected sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, with bourbon casks bringing warm, caramelized notes and refill casks to round it out.
