RebusFest Marks 30 Years Of Inspector Rebus

March 27, 2017

Ian Rankin, Inspector Rebus and RebusFestWe are delighted to be collaborating with legend of British crime author, Ian Rankin and The Orion Publishing Group, to mark the 30th anniversary of the iconic fictional detective, John Rebus.

Ian Rankin and The Orion Publishing Group are hosting RebusFest – a weekend of literature, art, film and music to celebrate 30 years of the iconic detective. Taking place in Rankin and Rebus’ hometown of Edinburgh, here is a chance to step into the world of your favourite detective.

Our very own Senior Brand Ambassador, Martin Markvardsen, will be hosting two Highland Park Whisky Masterclasses at the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are available to purchase here.

Ian Rankin said: “It’s hard for me to believe that it’s been 30 years since John Rebus first appeared between the pages of a book. For someone who was only supposed to exist in a single novel, his tenacity has surprised even me. But readers have grown to love him, irascible and bull-headed as he often is. It’s a joy for me to be celebrating his life so far in the form of his very own festival. What John would make of it, only he knows!”

More news regarding our collaboration early April.
